Rhydian is a graduate of the University of Wales Swansea where he gained honours degree in Computer Engineering and an Msc in Communication Systems and Management.
Rhydian worked in Information Systems as computer network engineer in the early part of his career before moving into training and education where he continues to lecture in computer networks and work as a Cisco Certified Trainer. Rhydian also set up and managed a successful computer consultancy and training company before founding Envirosports with co-director Richard Allen.
Rhydian is a lifelong golfer, multiple club champion, former first team captain and has represented both Glamorgan County and South Wales as a junior golfer. He currently sits as chairman of greens at Maesteg Golf Club and has played a key role in numerous development and maintenance projects at the golf club over the past 5 years during which the golf club has been finalists in the STRI Golf Environment Awards on several occasions and was awarded the ‘Water Management’ award in 2010.
Rhydian has played a key role in the development of EnviroBunker and is acutely aware of the issues surrounding the maintenance of traditional turf bunkers. He is passionate about the potential benefits that EnviroBunker represents to both golf courses and greenkeepers alike.



Richard Allen

Richard is a practicing civil engineer with over 22 years of experience in the industry. Mainly working on the design side he has been involved in a wide range of projects which range from major motorways to single house developments. He specialises in solving drainage, flooding and highway infrastructure challenges. Richard has been playing golf for even longer – 30 years, and he has maintained a category 1 handicap for most of that period. For many years Richard has combined his engineering and golfing knowledge helping to deliver several golf course enhancements including the design of new holes and effective land drainage schemes. A recent project at Maesteg Golf Club won the 2010 Water Management Project of the Year in the Golf Environmental Awards sponsored by the STRI. Envirobunker is Richard’s invention and is a design that that he is confident will make a major positive impact on the golfing world.

Llew is a qualified Greenkeeper by trade, with 6 years of greenkeeping experience at Southerndown Golf Club and Terry Hills Country Club in Sydney, Australia. Llew has significant bunker building experience both with standard turf and more recently as our lead builder of EnviroBunker.
Llew is also an extremely accomplished golfer. He is a former Welsh Amateur champion, becoming the first person in 24 years to defend this title. He is also a former winner of the St Andrews Links Trophy one of the most prestigious amateur events in the world, which he won with a record low score of 15 under par.
Llew played in the open Championship in 2007 and went on to represent Great Britain & Ireland in the 2008 Walker cup, playing alongside the likes of Rory Mclroy and against the likes of Dustin Johnson and Ricky Fowler.
Having turned professional off a handicap of +4 Llew has since competed on various tours but is yet to established himself as a tournament professional. He recently made the decision to focus on working for Envirosports Ltd such is his passion for EnviroBunker and his enthusiasm to be involved in a growing golf business. Llew continues to have aspirations as a professional golfer but the increasing demands of the modern game has forced Llew to put his golfing ambitions on hold whilst he pursues a career with Envirosports Ltd and plays a key role in helping ‘EnviroBunker’ become an established bunker solution in the golfing marketplace.
